crypto lab experimental

all decryption/encryption runs in your browser via the Web Crypto API. nothing you paste here ever leaves your machine.

aes-256-gcm

password-based symmetric encryption. anything in lb1$... format decrypts here; anything you encrypt gets that format. ciphertext is base64.

sha-256

one-way hash of any text, client-side. the same input always produces the same digest.

caesar shift

the classic rot-n cipher. letters only, case preserved; everything else passes through untouched.

base64

encode/decode to base64. unicode-safe (utf-8).

hex

convert between text/hex. input auto-detects: text with hex-ish pairs decodes, hex encodes.

xor (stream key)

symmetrical — xor twice with the same key and you get the original back. output is hex.

pgp

real openpgp armor via openpgp.js — keys and messages interoperate with gpg, keybase, protonmail, &c. everything runs in your browser; put a passphrase on any private key you keep.

generate keypair

encrypt (optionally sign)

decrypt (optionally verify)

format note for aes: lb1$<base64(iv+salt+ciphertext+tag)> — keep the whole string when you share it.
